Important information for users of Bellamy’s Organic formula and toddler milk drink

At Bellamy’s we believe that a pure start to life should be available to all children through certified organic products. In order to continue our commitment to parents, we have important information for users of our formulas and toddler milk drink.

As you may know Bellamy’s Organic produces premium formulas using only the highest quality certified organic ingredients and we have tried very hard to contain the prices to our loyal consumers. In fact our customers have not seen a change in the price of our formula since 2011.

Due to global demand over recent years the cost of organic milk is now three times the cost of conventional milk and regrettably we are no longer in a position where we can maintain our current pricing. As a result, effective from 27th November 2015, the recommended retail pricing of our Step 1,2 & 3 900g products will change. This brings pricing of these products into line with premium non-organic formulas available on Australian super market and pharmacy shelves.

Bellamy’s are passionate about ensuring that you have access to our products and we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our Bellamy’s babies and parents. We thank you for continued support.

Important Notice:

  • The World Health Organisation recommends that breastfeeding is best for your baby.
  • Having a balanced diet when breastfeeding is also important. Baby formulas should only be used after you’ve sought advice from a doctor or health practitioner.
  • A decision not to breastfeed can be difficult to reverse and introducing partial bottle feeding will reduce the supply of breast milk. It is also wise to consider the cost of infant formula.
  • If you use infant formula, all preparation and feeding instructions must be followed as per the manufacturer’s instructions. This is important for your baby’s health.

Important Notice to Parents and Guardians

  • Breast milk is the best for babies. The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and drinks will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. After six months of age, infants should receive age-appropriate foods while breastfeeding continues for up to two years of age or beyond. Consult your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.
