Eco-Friendly Gift Ideas For Busy Dads

Looking for a gift for Father’s Day. If you’re looking for something special, why not choose an eco-friendly gift? There is a range of environmentally friendly products available, perfect for dads who never stop. This list of eco-friendly Father’s Day gifts has something for every type of busy dad. These unique gifts are not only practical but great for the planet too. Sustainable gifts are the perfect way to say that you care, and it’s also the best way you can help reduce consumer waste and carbon footprint. What gift could be greater than that?

1. For the coffee lover – Reusable coffee cup

If dad can’t start his day without a morning cup of coffee, then this eco-friendly coffee cup is the perfect Father’s Day gift. Made from natural, sustainable bamboo fibre, these eco-cups are designed to be washed and reused for an on-the-go coffee fix without the waste. By helping dad trade in his daily takeaway coffee, you are doing your part in helping the environment. Disposable paper cups contain 5% polyurethane plastic, and with half a trillion cups manufactured around the world every year and 99% of them not being recycled or composted, this causes a huge demand on landfill and a significant impact on our environment. Reusable, eco-friendly ‘keep cups’ such as the ecoffee cup is the perfect sustainable solution. Coming in a range of gorgeous patterns and colours, your father, husband, brother, or in law will have their very own personalised coffee cup that they can fill and take on their way to work or picking up the kids from school.

2. For the man who loves to be pampered – Organic skincare

Being a busy dad leaves little time to indulge. Help your father or loved one feel pampered this Father’s Day by gifting him with organic skincare products. Made from natural products derived from plants, these green beauty buys not only nourish and protect your skin but are environmentally responsible too. For a decadent on-the-go freshen up, an organic do-it-all cleanser will have him feeling and looking refreshed. Another great eco-friendly gift idea is a leave-in conditioner.

3. For the working dad – Eco friendly notebook & pen

Eco-friendly gifts are becoming easier to find these days, with companies understanding that customers are increasingly buying products that reflect their values. There is a range of environmentally-friendly office supplies now available for working or studying fathers. For a thoughtful Father’s Day gift, why not choose an Eco-Friendly Organiser? These environmentally conscious books are printed on 100% recycled paper and feature a to-do list on every page so that the man in your life can jot down meetings, ideas, and notes while on-the-go. Simple and compact, these organisers can be stored in a handbag for easy access whenever he needs it or for whenever inspiration strikes! Accompany an eco-friendly organiser with a Refillable Bamboo Pen. These pens are made from sustainable pesticide-free bamboo wood grown in China. When the ink runs out, you don’t need to throw it away. Simply refill with any standard ink cartridge.

4. For the shopaholic – Sustainable tote bag

Whether he loves browsing the markets or needs an extra bag to cart the kids’ toys or lunches around, a sustainable tote bag is the stylish, environmentally-friendly option. Eco Bags makes a range of stylish reusable bags such as tote bags, lunch bags, and produce bags. Sustainable, reusable bags come in a range of colours, patterns, and styles and can be used for all types of purposes. Singapore uses at least 1.76 billion plastic items a year, with less than 20% being recycled and only 2% of supermarket plastic bags recycled by consumers. To help reduce plastic pollution and to save the poisoning of the environment and wildlife, give the gift of a sustainable bag this Father’s Day.

5. For the fitness enthusiast – Recycled yoga mat

Whether he’s a yoga enthusiast or not, a recycled yoga mat should be a staple in any fitness lover’s kit. Yoga mats can be rolled up easily and stored in the car or at home allowing for a soft surface to stretch, perform a yoga asana, or to simply get in a quick workout during work lunch break or in between household duties. Touch the Toes is a Singapore-based eco-friendly yoga apparel store. They stock beautiful, colourful sustainably produced yoga mats as well as eco-friendly fitness clothing made of organic cotton, bamboo blends, and up-cycled & recycled materials. The father in your life will feel fabulous working out with environmentally-friendly, recyclable fitness equipment and apparel!

6. For the music lover – Ethical earphones

Perfect for creatives, freelancers, and anyone who enjoys listening to music or podcasts on-the-go, a pair of ethical earphones such as the Hapy-Nes Ethical Earphones will help your music-loving dad to shut the world out while being kind to it! These stylish earbud-style earphones come with a built-in microphone and volume adjuster and are compatible with iPhones and Apple products. These earphones are 100% handcrafted, providing a pattern that is completely unique. The best part about these earphones? By purchasing and owning a pair, you’ll be making a donation to the Tohum Autism Foundation for kids in need of social education.
