Bellamy’s at Festivale

For 28 years, Tasmania has played host to one of Australia’s premier events Festivale, a celebration of food, community and family. Launceston’s picturesque City Park is transformed into a paradise of the best beer, wine, food, arts and entertainment that showcase the best of what Tasmania has to offer. It’s no surprise that the event attracts 35, 000 patrons each year! But more than having great nibblies on offer, what we love the most about Festivale is the strong community spirit. Under the gaze of the native elm trees, families big and small gather to share a day like no other. Bellamy’s is proud to be a part of such a special fixture through our sponsorship of the Bellamy’s Organic Kids’ Kingdom.

Transcript:

Laura McBain, CEO Bellamy’s Organic: Festivale is an amazing event because it’s about three things that Bellamy’s holds really dear to us. Firstly, it’s about food and having food produced locally and knowing where your food comes from. Secondly, it’s about your family and spending time with your family to celebrate eating great food. And finally, it’s about our community and bringing our community together.

Louise Clark, Festivale Chairman: We celebrate fantastic Tasmanian produce, wines, cider, beer with a wonderful atmosphere and ambiance. It’s a great family event. It’s a very safe event. And it’s fantastic that Bellamy’s are involved in the Kids Kingdom at Festivale, which is a wonderful area where we host heaps of kids’ activities. Mum and dad can come along. and the kids can enjoy workshops, face painting, dancing, cupcake making, all those sorts of fun activities that kids enjoy.

Laura McBain: And Bellamy’s are very proud supporters of this special area so families can enjoy time with each other, and the little kids getting their faces painted and enjoying the activities. But even more amazing is the Playgroup Association,  they’re supporting it. And Playgroup Association really is about community and bringing communities together. So we’re absolutely thrilled to be here again this year.

Karla Hogg, CEO Playgroup Tasmania Inc: At Playgroup Tasmania, our philosophy is to teach the parent to become the child’s first educator, which is often before any formal education. A fundamental principle to this is the child-parent play, and Festivale is the perfect platform to facilitate this.

Playgroup Tasmania has the best members. They attend playgroups across the state each week, play, create and laugh with their children, and have generously donated their time to come and volunteer at Festivale to create such great experiences for the community in the Kids Kingdom. We’re excited to be a part of Festivale and grateful for Bellamy’s continued support.

Louise Clark: So we’ve established a partnership with Bellamy’s in the last twelve to eighteen months. Bellamy’s is supporting the Kids Kingdom at Festivale, which we think is fantastic. It aligns with Festivale’s values and the values that Bellamy’s as a company espouses. And we’re looking forward to a long and successful relationship into the future.
